The school
Zhuji Hailiang Foreign Language School was founded on August 28, 1995, it is the first and most modernized private school in the east-south of  China.  In the past five years, Hailiang's pass rate for the College Entrance Examination has been above 95%.  After Hailiang invited two well-known English teachers Xu Ruqin and Zheng Jihong to join the faculty, the school has successfully started the "Jihong Innovative English Class" and the "International Foundation Programme Class"  run jointly with Greenwich University, England.  The school also became the sister school of Rowland High School of the State of California, USA.  In January 2005, Hailiang School won the titles as "Zhejiang Key High School" ,"Zhejiang Excellent Private School", "Zhejiang Model Elementary School", "Zhejiang Model Junior Middle School".   From 2004 to 2005, Hailiang Junior Middle School students won the medals both in the National Math Competition and Zhejiang Natural Science Competition, which was a unique achievement in Zhejiang province.
 
As many as 1000 Hailiang students have won prizes in various provincial or national competitions.  Meng Zhanghuan, the Principal of Hailiang School, was named as one of the outstanding figures in the educational field.
 
The Position
 
We are looking for a Superintendent, who will also be the Head Teacher, to manage a new English program in the
Junior Middle School.  The Superintendent will be the  key leader in the planning, implementation, and ongoing assessment of the students, working with the Department Heads and the Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning. The Superintendent is responsible for instructional leadership, scheduling, curriculum, and data analysis.
The Superintendent will work collaboratively to achieve a positive  academic climate in which expectations are high and, at the same time, the staff, the course sequences, the schedules, and interventions will assist the students in their endeavours and will support them as they develop the skills necessary to succeed.
 
Salary and Benefits :
-Three-year contract.
-12000 RMB  monthly salary for 20 teaching hrs /week plus office hrs

The Person
 
Applicants should be?

- a Degree holders with American, Canadian, British, New Zealand or Australian citizenship,

- an accredited junior or middle school teacher in his/her own country,
- Willing to supervise and manage the whole program for at least 3 years,
- a headmaster/headmistress or Dean in a middle school and be familiar with middle school teaching methods and materials

- a strong leader with outstanding  people skills.

- able to take the position on or before AUG 20,2008
