I am a native-English-speaking Australian citizen. My qualifications include a

Diploma of Teaching and Bachelor of Education, majoring in English and Physical Education, with sub-majors in Drama and Health Studies. I am a nationally (Australia) certified coach in 7 sports including swimming.

I have been continuously employed as a teacher in Australia for twenty years (teaching both primary and secondary ages) and since August 2005 I have been teaching at an University near Quanzhou in Fujian province where I have been teaching reading to Freshman English Majors.

My teaching is characteristically enthusiastic and student-centred. Apart from being highly regarded as a classroom professional, I have considerable experience in curriculum development and educational administration and organisation. This experience has been gained in various roles including as learning area coordinator.

I am in China with my wife (also a qualified Australian teacher) and our eleven-year-old son.
