While studying in my fourth year at the University of Washington I took several classes about China.  In them we explored the history and culture as well as the recent progress and modernization of China.  I was enthralled by what I learned and knew I wanted to soon go to the country.   During that time I learned about the job from a friend who had recently returned from teaching English in China.  Their positive experience and my desire to teach and travel prompted me to learn more about the teaching program.  My leadership skills and ability to adapt to new situations make me a great candidate for the job.

OBJECTIVE

To gain teaching experience and broaden my cultural horizons by teaching English in a foreign country.
