Age:27

I am a Canadian citizen who has just recently graduated from Global TESOL College with an Advanced Certificate and specializations in computers, teaching children, and adolescents.

I am looking for a position teaching in China.  I have deep respect for the Chinese people and would like to learn more about the culture and language of China.  I feel excited about the possibility of traveling to China and being a part of the Chinese community.

As you will see from my resume, I have demonstrated in various ways how I can be a teacher and a leader to others.  I achieved a position on our Student Council, and debated many ways to improve our school.  I have been an acclaimed member of many sports teams, always showing leadership to achieve the goals of our team, and I always avoid putting people down.  I was frequently called upon to organize warm-ups and practice exercises and earned the distinguished title of Captain and Assistant Captain from a young age.  Being a part of a customer service center as a phone agent particularly enhanced my skills of communicating and guiding people to follow specific important instructions.

You will also find my personal characteristics are more than adequately suited to teaching all ages of students and all levels of English fluency.  I am a patient person willing to work with young students learning English.  I have lots of experience with computer technology and could thrive in more advanced classes also, challenging students with plenty of knowledge and conceptual ways of learning a new language.

I also foster a creative side and participate in many artistic forms.  I enjoy music and poetry which are very effective tools in the classroom.  I am a friendly person and look forward to learning many techniques from, and contributing to, your teaching staff.

I wish to secure a teaching contract at your fine school beginning any time in 2005.  I am open to teaching children, adolescents, or adults at any level of English.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

I just finished an exciting year in South Korea.  I am eager to continue teaching in China.

I also have experience in many forms of media.  I was a volunteer at a community radio station and organized my own weekly radio show playing various types of music, completed a full educational video documentary, enjoy the use computer programs like Photoshop and Sonic Foundry for visual art and music production.  I have been a player in the local music scene participating in bands, musical recordings, and regular improvisational sessions.  My love for music is my main hobby leading me to travel, explore new worldly music, and explore ways to extend my enlightenment in the musical universe.

I am working towards completing a Professional Diploma in the Global College TESOL program which includes ten specializations.  The Global College is a superior program to other TESOL programs.  I have completed the in-class part of the course and will now work to finish my specializations by correspondence.

Being a part of Canadian culture means respecting the cultures from around the world, standing up for the people of our world, and seeking to protect the environment and it’s inhabitants.  I have always taken an interest in the different cultures presented to me by friends, instructors and community members who are from overseas countries.  I have a good education and interest not only in my native religion of Christianity, but also have a large interest in learning other religions.  I enjoy reading a wide range of books about history, philosophy, art, travel, and literature.  I take this enthusiasm for life into the classroom with me and present a lesson plan that is rewarding on many levels.  Over the course of my career and lifetime I would like to travel to all parts of the globe be a part of other cultures, and share my enthusiasm for language and working together to attain an essence of sharing and positive relations.
